Hi, I'm Bridget the Busy Bee! I started this business 12 years ago when I was going through a divorce and needed a side hustle to support my two boys as a newly single mother. I have been teaching elementary school the past 23 years and this job has blessed me to be able to supplement my income while doing what I love. I always adored being in the kitchen as a little girl and have been the designated family baker for as long as I can remember. I created cupcakes for my cousin's wedding 13 years ago and was encouraged by many of the guests to truly use my gift and share it with the community. It has been a crazy journey ever since! I was on the news twice and written up in Sactown Magazine's "Best of the City" issue within my first two months of operation, so I have extreme gratitude that I was received so well from the start. Due to my own food allergies, I have been able to create gluten, dairy, sugar, egg, and nut free options as well as vegan and keto delicacies so nobody has to go without dessert anymore. I am the mama to two teenage boys and enjoy nutrition, fitness, volunteering with Special Needs children, fundraising, and attending all my kids' sporting events like cross country, track, competitive soccer, rock climbing, and mountain biking. I am truly a Busy Bee and am so grateful for my crazy life. Thank you for all your love and support of my little dream.
